Album / 2000

gota cola’s debut and only album was released on Paul Curtis’ label, Valve/Warner.  Mushroom Music promptly signed gota cola’s three songwriters: Skritch, Alexandra Gillespie and Tylea (Croucher).

On the live stage, gota cola’s DNA polarised audiences. Often accompanied by live visuals (Ken Weston, Rachael Johnson) and fourth member for a time, Brett Collery - the band blended unexpected emotional and torrential moments with their unique style of experimental, Dub-Pop.

The album enabled the band to tour nationally and East Coast Tours with Something for Kate, Custard, Not From There, Tex Perkins and the Dark Horses and the Cruel Sea - as well as perform at many festivals and supports.
